Planning For Marriage

Sacrament of Marriage

The Sacrament of Marriage is a beautiful vocation in which a man and a woman freely give themselves to one another in a lifelong covenant of love, reflecting Christ's faithful love for His Church. At Prince of Peace, we are honored to accompany couples as they prepare to enter into this sacred vocation.

Couples wishing to celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage at Prince of Peace should contact the parish office at least six months before their desired wedding date to begin the marriage preparation process. Preparation includes meeting with our priest, completing the required marriage preparation, and taking time to prayerfully discern their readiness for this lifelong commitment.

Because marriage preparation is an important part of preparing for the Sacrament, all wedding dates remain tentative until you have met with the priest and begun the preparation process.

Weddings at Prince of Peace are typically celebrated on Saturday afternoons at 2:00 PM to accommodate the parish's weekend Mass schedule.

If you are engaged and would like to begin preparing for marriage, we would love to help you take the next step. Please contact the parish office to schedule your initial meeting or email us at
